Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Neonatal Transport Manager

University of Maryland Medical Center/ Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Program

Nikki Brown is a neonatal nurse practitioner at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and a clinical program manager for the Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Program. She obtained her BSN in 2002 and MSN in 2005 from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has provided education through various programs, including the Maryland Neonatal Nurses Consortium, N.R.P., S.T.A.B.L.E., and ELNEC. In 2008 she joined the transport team, and became one of the program's managers in 2022, with a primary focus on education and community outreach. Her other passion is neonatal palliative care. She continues to work clinically in the NICU and also as a transport NP, and is proud to be celebrating her 23rd year caring for tiny patients.
