Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this article is to review the embryology, clinical presentation and management of gastroschisis. A case study is presented which highlights the use of the sutureless repair technique for managing gastroschisis.
Learning Outcome:
Upon completion of this activity the learner will be able to describe the epidemiology, pathophysiology, management and prognosis for neonates with gastroschisis.
